Day 54 Bakery:
Flour caked onto his dry hands, filling in the cracks between his fingers as he kneaded the dough.
His loaves were aromatic, filled with herbs: cardamom, rosemary, star anise, and fennel. He twisted the dough into braids, plaiting ornate twists that rose in the oven. The floor was covered in flour so he could see their footprints as they moved. Small, shuffling movements, he liked that they never got too close to him.
