Watercolor painting found me in the throes of manuscript submission anxiety. If you've been there, you know the incessant compulsion to check your inbox repeatedly. In addition to starting new writing projects, I found creating visuals for some of my short stories and flash was a great way to engage my creativity in a new, tactile way.
